This case study offers an in-depth analysis of the Creative Direction, Branding, and Music Video direction for Fezihaus, a project executed under Force of Nature Inc. It provides valuable insights into the strategies and techniques employed to amplify Fezihaus's online visibility and branding.
-
Narrative
To brand Fezihaus, it was essential to establish a context for the brand and design a universe in which it could effectively function and operate. This task was complex, and required a gradual and meticulous refinement process over time to ensure that the brand's visual identity was fully realized.
-
Cross-Pollenation
During the branding and re-branding process of both brands, it was deemed necessary to engage various collaborators, both old and new, to provide support and establish the brands within an ecosystem that would facilitate their tangible growth.
-
Fezihaus
Fezihaus is the primary umbrella brand owned by Samito, under which SPRLUA operates. All the operational elements of sub-brands are organized under Fezihaus. To provide clarity, I developed a comprehensive brand guide that served as the definitive reference for building a consistent and cohesive brand image.
-
SPRLUA
SPRLUA is an ensemble led by Samito, comprising selected collaborators. The band's unique sound is an amalgamation of electronic music infused with influences from Afro, Latin, and Lusophone musical influences.
-
Film
As part of a continued collaboration, we were granted funding from the Canada Council of the Arts to develop a working script for a film. In my role as a screenwriter, an 80-page script was developed for a feature length fictive documentary, carefully reviewed and supported by industry professionals. The script was designed to provide context and support for the artist's universe.
-
Music Videos
During my time with Fezihaus, I was responsible for developing music videos for SPRLUA, as well as filming, editing, and compiling an archive of footage to support the artist's world-building.
We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
